What Makes a Person a Good Manager?

Most everyone has someone to answer to in their work or school situation. Even most owners or presidents of companies have to answer to investors, a board of directors or at least customers or clients. So in one way or another, I think we are all accountable, or should be, for what we do. If I were asked to make of list of things to look for in a good manager, here would by my suggestions.

More About Technical Issues

My goal is to be fair to my students consistently, and I would never impose a penalty for late posting if there were no recourse for them. I still emphasize that a backup plan for personal technical issues is a must, but making sure students understand they will not be penalized for technical issues over which they have no control is very important to me.
