Today, in my research, I was reminded of the day the word “google” officially became a verb in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary – July 6, 2006. Having been declared the “most useful” word of the year in 2002 by the American Dialect Society, many of us were already using it as a verb, so it was great news to me when it became an official, proper verb!

How Do Your Grammar Skills Rate?

How long has it been since you thought about verb tense, subject-verb agreement and other specific rules of grammar? If you were asked to write an essay today, you would definitely need to make sure you to use the correct form of verbs for each sentence. And guess what? Even if you never write another essay in your whole life, you still need to know how to make your subjects and verbs agree so you don’t look like a dummy to your boss or clients.
